Deputy Head

(with responsibility for leading the Limmudei Kodesh Department)

Morasha Jewish Primary School is a vibrant, modern-orthodox school in Finchley and is now looking to fill a key senior leadership position.

Having opened with one class in September 2008, Morasha now has 85 pupils and is expected to grow to a full size of 175+ pupils by 2014. The school has a strong and distinctive ethos and the role of Deputy Head will be pivotal to further develop this within the school community.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Strong teaching experience (preferably at both KS1 and KS2 level), combined with the ability to coach others
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Ability, vision and sufficient knowledge to lead the Limmudei Kodesh Department
  • Personal drive to take forward initiatives independently whilst working closely with the Head Teacher in implementing the school's vision and ethos
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage time and organise workload effectively and deliver to deadlines
  • Identification with, and deep understanding of, the values of the school and what we are seeking to achieve.

The role is full-time and will start in the Summer term 2012, subject to availability (but there may be scope for flexibility over start dates for the right candidate).
