MORASHA - JEWISH PRIMARY SCHOOL

Over 230 people attended the Morasha shabbaton

Over 230 people attended the Morasha shabbaton, held at Finchley Synagogue on 2 November 2007.

The aim of the shabbaton was to update parents on the plans for the school, to give over a sense of our ethos in practice and to provide an opportunity for parents interested in the school to meet each other. At the beginning of the event, the chairman of the governors, Ian Kamiel, provided a brief update on premises, head-teacher and admissions. Parents then had a chance to chat to the other governors over lunch, in between zemirot and songs familiar to regular attendees of the children services.

Overall, we were delighted with the turnout and have received some fantastic feedback from people who came - ranging from "this was an easy lunch compared to normal" to "we were greatly enthused to the school because of it". But I think most people's highlight were the cup cakes, complete with Morasha's logo as icing.

Huge thanks to Adam Phillips and Uptown Events for organising.
