Dear Friends,
Vetalmud Torah keneged kulam – The study of Torah supersedes all other mitzvot!
These words of our Sages, which we recite daily in our prayers, encapsulate our traditional attitude to education. In a nutshell, they convey the unmistakable message: Jewish education must be the top priority of every Jewish community.
Until now, the absence of a suitable primary school for all our children has rendered the Finchley communal landscape to be significantly incomplete. Fortunately, this will now change. I applaud the initiative, enthusiasm and professionalism of our founding committee, whose tireless efforts are enabling a wishful dream of many years to become a wonderful reality.
Our new school will have a far reaching, positive impact on the lives of our children and will enrich our community in a most significant way. Having been involved with the project since its inception, I have been deeply impressed by the outstanding steering group, who are being assisted at every step of the way by top professionals. The result will certainly be the creation of a first class school for Finchley.
I feel privileged to be the Honorary Principal of the school. I wish all concerned beracha vehatzlacha in all their worthy endeavours.

Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis
Honorary Principal
