MORASHA - JEWISH PRIMARY SCHOOL

Procedure for applying

Children will be admitted for Reception at the beginning of the academic year (1 September) following their fourth birthday. The admissions process consists of an application form and an interview, and opens just under two years prior to entry. The number of intended admissions in any given intake will initially be limited by the size of classrooms in our premises in Moss Hall Grove, but is intended in the medium term to be up to 30 children.

The closing date for applications for Reception September 2012 is Friday 17 December 2010. We will then run a process of interviews before offering places in February 2011. Anyone still wishing to apply for entry after the closing date will be placed on a waiting list and contacted should a place become available.

From time to time, spaces may become available in existing classes. Parents wishing to apply should use the standard application form. If there is a vacancy, they will be contacted and invited to interview. If there is no vacancy at that time the child's name will be added to the waiting list and invited to interview should a vacancy arise.

Parents wishing to apply for Reception 2012 entry or later may do so by filling out an application form. However, please note that places are not actually allocated on a first-come-first-serve basis. Instead, the only requirement is that applications are submitted before the formal deadline - normally set as the December just under two years prior to entry. We will post the deadline for 2013 entry in the Autumn term of 2011.
