We are delighted to announce that we have made a number of key new staff appointments, which we believe will be instrumental in helping the school to be a success as it grows.
Firstly, we have appointed a new Year 1 teacher - Zoe Chelms. Zoe is an experienced Key Stage 1 practitioner and a graduate of the AJE's SCITT programme, which includes specific training on how to integrate Jewish and secular studies. She will be joining us for the start of the new term in September.
Secondly, to support Zoe and the other teachers, we have appointed a new teaching assistant, Sharon Nakar. Sharon has experience both as a teaching assistant and as a learning support assistant in Jewish schools in Leeds, and has also direct teaching experience of Jewish Studies. We are looking forward to seeing her from September.
Finally, we are very pleased to welcome Deena Grossman, our new administrator, to the team. Deena has had extensive experience in a variety of organisations in the education and health sectors, including most recently seven years as an administrator in Rosh Pinna Jewish Primary School. She is passionate about working in a Jewish school, and has detailed knowledge of how the educational system works. Deena is starting her new job straight away to ensure that we are properly prepared for the new intake.
Deena replaces Zippy Myers who left the school at the end of May. All the governors and staff want to thank Zippy for her contribution to the school in its first phase and wish her luck in her future career.
