On Wednesday 17 September, Morasha Jewish Primary School officially opened, having received the necessary consent from the Department of Children, Schools and Families. A celebration and building dedication day, in the presence of the Chief Rabbi and other dignitaries, had taken place a week earlier, so there were no further formalities on 17 September. Instead, the focus was purely on the founding pupils, who arrived in their uniforms and enjoyed their first day of school.
The school governors and trustees are obviously delighted at reaching this milestone, whilst mindful that the hard work starts now. We would like once again to express our thanks in particular to Benjamin Perl, our Honorary Principal, without whom this would not have been possible, as well as to our teachers for their hard work in the past few months to ensure that everything was set up properly in time.
